WOMAN, WHO ARE YOU?

Woman, you are a protector — a breastplate!

Genesis 2:21

The rib protects the heart and the lungs. If the heart stops beating, the entire body fails. The rib was taken from Adam’s side — close to his heart — and fashioned into a woman. You were created to protect, to shield, to cover.

Jochebed protected her baby boy by placing him in a basket and setting him in the river. Her daughter, Miriam, also played her part by watching over him.

(Exodus 2:1–10)

Rahab the prostitute *sought protection not just for herself, but for her entire family.

(Joshua 2:12–13)

Proverbs 31:15 speaks of the virtuous woman who rises while it is still night to provide food for her household. This speaks not only of provision, but of intercession — praying, declaring, and warring in the night. She protects.

Woman, you are called to protect!

Your home, your heart, your family, your community — both near and extended.

1. We protect through prayer and spiritual warfare.
2. We stand guard against the enemies of our homes, our cities, our families, and our generation.

Pray that the Lord opens your eyes to discern and identify every hidden enemy.

WOMAN, YOU ARE FEARLESS!

Judges 4:18–21

Jael — a simple housewife. Not trained, not armed, not anointed like a prophet — yet she rose with boldness. With just a tent peg and a hammer, she brought down Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army.

She used hospitality — “milk and covering” — as her strategy.

What wisdom! What boldness!

You don’t have to look the part to play the role. You just need courage, obedience, and divine wisdom.

Throughout the Bible, fearless women stood in the gap:

The midwives defied Pharaoh’s deadly command.

Jochebed defied fear and saved a deliverer.

Deborah led armies as a judge and prophetess.

Esther risked her life to save a nation.

Mary said yes to birthing the Savior of the world.

So woman, who are you?

You are a protector.

You are a watcher.

You are a warrior.

You are fearless.

Rise up. Take your place. Guard what God has placed in your hands.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
